You can find a tutorial below on the process for jailbreaking your device if you have already finished upgrading to iOS 8.1.1.

  1. Ensure that iTunes has been installed in the system.
  2. Keep a back-up of all your vital data and files via iCloud and/or iTunes.
  3. Disable Passcode (Settings-> Passcode) and Touch ID (Settings-> General-> Touch ID and Passcode.
  4. You should also deactivate Find my iPhone under Settings-> iCloud -> Find my iPhone.
  5. Upgrade your device to iOS 8.1.1 via iTunes.

Steps for jailbreaking iOS 8.1.1 using Taig jailbreak

  1. Perform the downloading of Taig jailbreak- You will need to unzip this file as it is currently in the .zip format.
  2. When you are extracting all the files, put them onto the system’s desktop.
  3. Make a connection between the iOS gadget and the desktop system by using a USB cable.
  4. Go to the Taig application’s icon on the system’s desktop and press the right button of the mouse on the icon. Tap on Run as Administrator.
  5. On the upcoming window, tap Yes option.
  6. Hold back until Taig is able to find your iOS gadget.
  7. Now the Taig window is going to show you two options with checked boxes next to them. Make the second option as unchecked so that the app store of Taig is prevented from installation. Let the first option stay checked itself as this enables the installation of Cydia application while the jailbreak occurs.
  8. Tap on a green coloured toggle which says ‘Jailbreak’.
  9. This will start the installation of the Taig jailbreak on the iOS gadget. Once the installation is done perfectly, your screen will exhibit a smiley face.
  10. Ultimately a reboot will take place on the iOS gadget, after which it will boot in a jailbreak condition, while the icon of Cydia application will appear on the Home screen of your device.

You should take note that this tutorial will only work for Windows system, since a version for Mac systems is yet to be launched. Nevertheless, there is still a workaround manner by which you will be able to do the jailbreak installation via a virtual system in which Windows OS has been installed.
