It has not been long since Apple updated its mobile software to the latest iOS 8.1, following which the company has already released a beta version of the next update iOS 8.1.1. A lot of enhancements have been made to iOS 8.1 by introducing new features such as Apple Pay, Health app and iCloud Photo Library, to name a few, whereas iOS 8.1.1 has been built mainly to resolve all the issues found in the earlier versions accompanied with few speed and functioning refinements.

If we take a look at the changelog of iOS 8.1.1, it clearly indicates that the enhancements have been mainly targeted at older models such as iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This is similar to the events that took place at the beginning of 2014, with the introduction of iOS 7 that had a huge effect on the working of the former models and also focused at enhancing the speed of the devices.

Regarding Pangu’s iOS 8 jailbreak tool, we still cannot determine the impact of the new update on the patching of the exploits developed by the team. We are expecting news on this matter soon as the developers are already looking into the matter. Meanwhile, in case you have already jailbroken your device and wish to install the beta version of the latest update, it is advisable to refrain from doing so till we learn how it will impact the jailbreak. If you still want to try the beta version, it is better to experiment on a backup device.
